Delegates are required to have a current Solas Safe Pass Card, their PPS Number and two passport photographs.

Who Should Attend

Road-workers, who are required to assist the SLG cardholder during the implementation of Traffic Management Plans/Layouts in both rural and urban situations.  A Health and Safety at Roadworks cardholder must be present on site when  working on a road.  This training is mandatory under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2006, and will be enforced from July 2009.PLEASE NOTE: Signing Lighting and Guarding (SLG) cardholders are not compelled to attend this course.

Course Aim

This programme is aimed at all those responsible for the planning, designing, implementation and maintenance of safe systems of work for all construction work on roads, including clients, designers, contractors, employees, the Project Supervisor for the Design Process (PSDP) and the Project Supervisor for the construction stage (PSCS). The one day is suitable for those who are responsible for maintaining signage lighting and guarding at roadworks but is not suitable for those responsible for setting up or removal of signing lighting and guarding at roadworks.
