We have an immediate requirement for a Health and Safety Advisor working across 3 Residential Construction sites in the Cork City and surrounding regions.
This is a 12 month contract role with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities:
- Management of Safety Management system on-site.
- Management of health and safety employees.
- Overseeing subcontractors on-site.
- Conducting regular site audits/inspections to ensure health and safety compliance to Company and Client procedures.
- Coordination of weekly health and safety meetings.
- Advising and instructing on various safety-related topics.
- Reviewing existing policies and measures and updating according to legislation.
- Managing, developing, and maintaining incident reporting and near misses and follow up actions, identifying root causes and implementing changes to prevent reoccurrences.
- Weekly/monthly reporting to client and site management.
Requirements:
- 2-3+ years work experience in Health and Safety required.
- Minimum of a recognised Diploma in Health and Safety.
- Experience on Residential Construction projects required.
- Safe Pass (or equivalent) and Manual Handling required.
- Ability to work on own initiative and be innovative.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Full clean driver’s license required.
