We have an immediate requirement for a Health and Safety Advisor working across 3 Residential Construction sites in the Cork City and surrounding regions.

This is a 12 month contract role with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of Safety Management system on-site.
  • Management of health and safety employees.
  • Overseeing subcontractors on-site.
  • Conducting regular site audits/inspections to ensure health and safety compliance to Company and Client procedures.
  • Coordination of weekly health and safety meetings.
  • Advising and instructing on various safety-related topics.
  • Reviewing existing policies and measures and updating according to legislation.
  • Managing, developing, and maintaining incident reporting and near misses and follow up actions, identifying root causes and implementing changes to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Weekly/monthly reporting to client and site management.

Requirements:

  • 2-3+ years work experience in Health and Safety required.
  • Minimum of a recognised Diploma in Health and Safety.
  • Experience on Residential Construction projects required.
  • Safe Pass (or equivalent) and Manual Handling required.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be innovative.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Full clean driver’s license required.
