We have an immediate requirement for an on-site Junior Health and Safety Officer working on multiple sites with a construction contractor in the Dublin region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular site audits/inspections to ensure health and safety compliance to Company and Client procedures/rules.
- Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.).
- Assist in the management of subcontractors.
- Assist in the initiation and organization health and safety training of employees and executives.
- Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).
- Maintain incident reporting and near misses and follow up actions, identifying root causes and implementing changes to prevent reoccurrences.
- Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
- Reviewing the SWP’s (Safe Work Plans) for the tasks on site.
- Carry out inductions and Toolbox talks as required.
Key Requirements:
- 1+ years work experience in Health and Safety required.
- Hold a recognised Diploma in Health and Safety.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling required.
- Experience in Construction required.
- Ability to work on own initiative and be innovative.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Full driving license.
- You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
