Display Screen Equipment Assessor Training

The VDU Assessors course enables a participant to be able to carry out ergonomic assessments of computer workstations in their workplace, either in person or remotely, and adjust them correctly to reduce the risk of injury or pain to the user of the workspace from prolonged use of the workstation such as musculoskeletal disorders.

Who is this course for
This course is ideal for those staff who are responsible for carrying out workstation assessments.
Course Aim
Our VDU Assessors course is designed to enable the learner to perform ergonomic risk assessments in their workplace. It will also give information to learners to assist their employers in fulfilling their statutory obligations under the Safety, Health & Welfare (General Application) Regulations 2007; Chapter 5 of Part 2.
Course Objectives
On completion of this course, learners will be able to:
• List the duties of the employer under the Safety, Health & Welfare (General Application) Regulations 2007; Chapter 5 of Part 2.
• Understand what the minimum requirements are under the VDU/DSE Regulations
• Carry out an Ergonomic Risk Assessment
• Advise operators on safe work methods
