Who is this course for
This course is ideal for anyone who leads a team, or any member of the public with an interest in supporting others who are displaying mental health issues. Attendees will be given the necessary skills and knowledge to assist people who are experiencing stress or distress due to mental health conditions.
While there is presently no legal requirement for this training in Ireland, we can only encourage employers to have as many MHFA and employees aware of mental health issues in the workplace as possible so they can take the appropriate steps to help the individual in need. However, we would advise you to speak to your employees before they attend for training. Do they have an interest in supporting others with any mental health issues, are they comfortable with attending this course and do they have the time in their current role to support others?
Course Aim
Following attendance, employees will be able to identify the signs of mental health issues and implement appropriate and timely interventions to support colleagues experiencing a mental health issue.
