Our mission is to provide dedicated and high-quality training that will benefit all sectors of industry throughout the country. Our vision is to be recognised as the market leader and the go-to organisation in the safety industry. Our core values:
We ask that mobile phones be switched off or put on silent mode and may not be answered in class. However, we also ask you to bring your mobile device to in-person training so you can access our online forms by scanning a QR-Code. This is part of our commitment to reducing paper where possible as part of our strategy to respect the environment.
Courses are run by accreditation provider standards or best practice. To ensure you get the most out of the programme and to help you achieve the best outcome possible, we advise 100% attendance. Learners cannot be missing any of the required mandatory hours. We also expect you to be punctual and to be present in the training room/virtual classroom before the training session begins. Start and finish times are strictly observed and acted on. If you cannot attend for any reason or must exit the programme at an early stage, please contact your instructor to discuss. It is important to talk to your instructor if you expect to be absent, or if you are having difficulty keeping up.
Any learners absent for any of the mandatory training days will be regarded as having dropped out of training and will be terminated from the course. If you are absent from a critical component of the course syllabus, it might render you unable to complete the course and will also affect the certification you receive.
We recognise that exceptional circumstances can arise where learners may not be able to complete their training course, for example, a domestic crisis or the death of a close relative. Where this arises, please discuss the circumstances with your instructor or Ayrton Group representative. We will make every effort to accommodate you, for example, deferral.
The Equal Status Acts, 2000 and 2004 prohibit discrimination (including sexual harassment and harassment, and victimisation) in access to and the provision of goods and services, accommodation, and educational establishments. The Acts apply to all Ayrton Group and cover nine grounds:
The Employment Equality Acts, 1998 and 2004 apply to Ayrton Group. As well as prohibiting discrimination (including sexual harassment and harassment, and victimisation) in access to and the provision of training across the nine grounds listed above, the Acts require the provision of appropriate measures for people with disabilities in relation to access, participation, and training.
We endeavour to accommodate our learners’ needs as best we can. If you have any special requirements, queries, or concerns regarding your training, please address these to your Ayrton Group Representative or instructor prior to your course starting. You can also contact the Training Administrator or the Training & Quality Manager.
We provide phone support to learners on an individual basis if required, to assist them with accessing live-online/webinar training.
We do our best to accommodate learners who have a disability/specific need when it is practicable and feasible to do so (an accommodation is a modification of the classroom, or an evaluation procedure designed to address particular needs). We invite learners who have any additional needs/requirements to speak to their Ayrton Group Representative, the Training Administrator, the Training & Quality Manager, or their instructor in confidence, before or as soon as the programme begins. The following are examples of supports we can put in place:
Ayrton Consultancy Ltd. aims to be the first choice for high-quality education and training within its target market. It is the objective of Ayrton Consultancy Ltd. to provide learners with qualifications and experiences suited to their learning aims, as per Accreditation Providers guidelines and standards.
The Quality Assurance Policy at Ayrton Consultancy Ltd. outlines the organisation’s belief and commitment to ensuring that ongoing quality improvement is an integral part of the organisation. Ayrton Consultancy Ltd. will aim for continuous improvement in the quality of all aspects of its work as part of its determination to help learners achieve the highest possible standards.
The purpose of the Quality Assurance Policy is to ensure that:
The Quality Assurance Policy and associated procedures will involve all employees and collaborative partners. The management of the process will be through the existing organisational structure. The Training & Quality Manager is responsible for initiating procedures and collating self-assessment reports and action plans.
The Quality Assurance procedures will be based on the results of regular self-evaluation, internal & external audits, and observations, in addition to employer and client feedback. Wherever appropriate, the procedures will promote the identification of quality standards and performance indicators against which performance can be measured, evaluated, and improved.
All staff (instructors, assessors, managers, employees, etc.) are responsible for the implementation of the Quality Assurance Policy. It is the Training & Quality Manager’s responsibility to ensure there is an annual review of the policy. It is the responsibility of all to engage positively in that review and ensure the implementation of continuous improvement measures to policy and procedures.
Continuous improvement in the quality of all teaching and learning programmes will make learning an enjoyable activity and through this, increase learner retention and the achievement of individual learning aims. The structure of the Quality Assurance system will be based on the Plan-Do-Check-Act approach, as follows:
The Training & Quality Manager will review all procedures based on Ayrton’s Quality Improvement Framework. They will also review the External Authenticator’s reports for recommendations to improve procedures.
In this system, the Quality Assurance Policy informs detailed, standardised, and consistent procedures to direct employees and other collaborative partners of Ayrton Consultancy Ltd. in the provision of training, including but not limited to:
Continuous improvement is achieved in this model by the regular review of records, procedures and policies, and updating these while taking into account the performance of the Quality Assurance system (e.g. by reviewing customer feedback, accidents/incidents, complaints, non-compliances detected by self-assessment etc.). A documented action plan will be produced on an annual basis, as a roadmap for the quality system in the future.
Feedback on actions resulting from this quality review process will be communicated via regular meetings. The outcomes and action plans which result from the process will form the basis of the annual Ayrton Consultancy Ltd.’s Self-Assessment Report.
