All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) / Quad Bike Training Course

All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV), also known as quad bikes, are incredibly versatile machines. Their flexibility means they can work with a range of attachments, including trailers, sprayers and spreaders. That makes them popular across many agricultural, forestry and leisure industry businesses. However, serious accidents involving ATVs can and do occur, causing very serious life-changing or fatal injuries. As such, our quad bike training courses are designed to teach you skills to operate these machines.

Regulations governing the safe use of ATV in all workplaces (S.I. 619/2021) came into effect on 20 November 2023.

These regulations have 2 essential requirements of note

quad bike training helmet
  • Use of helmets to a (generally) prescribed standard.
Quad bike training certificate
  • It is mandatory for all ATV operators to have completed a safety training course provided by a registered training provider (LANTRA, City & Guilds NPTC, QQI).

Every employer has the responsibility to ensure that all persons who use or supervise those using work equipment have received adequate training for purposes of health and safety.
