Mobile Elevating Work Platforms Training - Scissors and Boom

Course Overview

The training will be carried out to the relevant standard and in accordance with HSA (Health & Safety Authority) guidelines. The trainee will gain a MEWP licence on successful completion. MEWP courses we cover include:. Scissorlift training. Self Propelled Boomlift training. CherryPicker training. Vehicle Mounted Platform. Combined course covering any of the above categories of MEWP. Experienced Trainees require a Half day of training, on one machine. Inexperienced Trainees require a day of training

Anyone who uses an MEWP
Course Aim
Ensure operators are competent is use of an MEWP
Course Objectives
On completion of this course participants will be able to:. Operate an MEWP safely and correctly in accordance with the Manufacturer"™s handbook. Clearly understand the causes of instability while operating an MEWP. Be able to carry out correctly, a pre-use inspection of the MEWP. Work safely at height. Understand fully the procedures for the emergency lowering of the MEWP in the event of an emergency. MEWP courses we cover include Scissor Lift. Self Propelled Boom. Cherry Picker. Vehicle Mounted Platform. Combined course covering any of the above categories of MEWP. If the MEWP training is carried out at your premises with your equipment, there must be an up to date statutory form for the machine(s) being used at time of training.
Course Requirements
PPE (Including Safety Boots, Harness and Hi-Vis) and good level of English.
