Ayrton Group are seeking an on-site EHS Specialist for a project with a large Engineering group in the Cork region.
This is a contract role of a minimum of 6 months with the potential for extension.
Key to this role will be the responsibility that EHS systems, compliances, and standards are maintained across the site by means of auditing safety compliance with the on-site facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure EHS management systems are maintained across the site by means of auditing safety compliance and partnering with internal engineering teams.
- Become familiar with customer safety systems and protocols.
- Identify areas of risk based on audit results and provide coaching/direction to resolve issues real time when identified.
- Provide activity report (weekly).
- Prepare and implement Environmental Management Plans and systems to ISO 14001 standards.
- Environmental auditing and inspections.
- Technical report writing.
Key Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering or Science, preferably Environmental Engineering, Health & Safety , Chemical/Environmental Science, or Engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience in working within the semiconductor industry preferred (not essential)
- Experience and knowledge of EHS Management Systems and their practical application to industry.
- Self-motivator who can work on one’s own initiative.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
