Safety Officer – Dublin/Limerick

Ayrton Group are seeking a Safety Officer for a position with our client, a metalwork solutions group. The role involves visiting several sites across the Dublin region weekly, as well as 1 day per week attending to a site in Limerick.

Primary function of this position is to assist the Compliance Manager and the overall management team in the promotion of safety, health, and welfare across the organization.

This is a contract role of 12 months with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promotion of safety, health, and welfare across the organisation.
  • Conducting H&S site visits.
  • Conducting H&S inspections of projects.
  • Conducting H&S inspections of workshops.
  • Promotion of PPE awareness and use across all projects and workshops.
  • Monitoring of load security.
  • Coalition and reporting of safety data to the Compliance Manager.
  • Support project managers and site supervisors in relation to safety performance
  • Support the Compliance Manager in the investigation of accidents and incidents.
  • Any other duties as may be required from time to time.

Key Requirements:

  • Certificate or degree in safety, health, and welfare at work or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years safety, health and welfare experience in the manufacturing and/or construction sector is required.
  • Experience in load security and transportation of steel by road would be an advantage.
