Ayrton Group are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor for a role with our client, a large engineering group.
This role involve attending to multiple sites across the Leinster region and supervising small minor works. A company vehicle would be provided by the client.
This is a contract role of 12 months with the potential for extension
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site audits/inspections to ensure health and safety compliance to Company and Client procedures/rules.
- Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.).
- Assist in the management of subcontractors.
- Provide support to PSCS as needed.
- Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).
- Maintain incident reporting and near misses and follow up actions, identifying root causes and implementing changes to prevent reoccurrences.
- Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
- Review RAMS, SPAs and other Safety documentation.
- Carry out inductions, toolbox talks, and training as required.
Key Requirements:
- 2+ years work experience in Health and Safety required.
- Hold a recognised Diploma in Health and Safety.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling required.
- Experience in Construction required.
- Ability to work on own initiative and be innovative.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
